We’re so excited to finally be offering an IN PERSON class in Madison! This class is for anyone who’s always wanted to try stand up comedy and now that the pandemic is easing off and people are getting vaccinated we thought it’s the perfect time to schedule it.
We will cover joke structure, types of jokes, virtual stand up ettiquette and more. This is perfect for the beginning Stand Up Comedian or someone who’s wanted to explore stand up in a safe and empowering space. By the end of the class you should have a 4-5 minute set and the basis for creating more.
This is four 2 hour classes (June 6, 13, 20 & 27) and a live showcase in a real world venue.

About Your Instructor:
Dina Nina Martinez is a stand up comedian, actor and the founder of Lady Laughs Comedy. Her career has afforded her the opportunity to perform on stages all over the country and she’s been seen on PBS, The Late Late Show with James Corden and she’s been named one of the “40 Hot Queer Women in Comedy”.
This class is open to all genders, orientations and backgrounds! We will not tolerate racist, homophobic, transphobic or sexist rhetoric.
