Stand Up Level 1 is perfect for those of you who have always wanted to “try” standup and especially for those who have heard “You’re so funny!” over and over. What are you waiting for?
In this class you will learn joke structure, types of jokes and more. By the end of the class you will have a 4-5 minute set and the basis for creating more. You’ll learn what to expect at an open mic or for a show, virtual comedy mic or show. Also, you’ll gain a skill that will help you in your artistic endevours as well as in your personal and professional life.
This is four 2 hour classes and a live showcase in a real world venue and begins October 3rd from 7pm-9pm…ish.

About Your Facilitator:
Dina Nina, who was called “…very funny.” by the Late Late Show’s James Corden, is a transgender stand up comedian, speaker and actor. She’s been seen on PBS, The Late Late Show, Madison Magazine, Huffington Post and Parade. Her signature blend of disarming sass and charm has been featured in comedy festivals and multiple world-class comedy venues including LA Pride, The Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, LA’s The Comedy Store and Chicago’s Zanies Comedy Club. She is a Huff Post blogger, the founder of Lady Laughs Comedy & Artemis Bow Productions and writer of “The Misadventures of Delilah James. She was named one of the “58 Trans Women Actors You Should Know & Also Love” by AutoStraddle and won Madison’s favorite Local Comedian as voted by the readers of the Isthmus.
